June to September

Acclimatise for at least 24–48 hours in Leh before heading to high-altitude passes.
Inner Line Permits are required for Pangong, Nubra, Tso Moriri, and border areas — arrange through a local agent.
Carry Diamox or consult a doctor for altitude sickness prevention before your trip.
Fuel stations are scarce beyond Leh — keep your tank full and carry a spare jerry can.
Respect monastery etiquette: remove shoes, walk clockwise around stupas, and ask before photographing monks.
