Day 1 of 11

Board the overnight Volvo bus from Delhi to Manali at 6:30 PM. Settle in for the 14-hour journey through the Himalayan foothills — a scenic ride that eases you into mountain altitude.

Morning arrival at Manali (2,050m). Check into your hotel. After breakfast, the day is yours — explore Mall Road, visit Hidimba Devi Temple in its cedar forest, or take a short trip to Solang Valley. Dinner at hotel.

Breakfast, then start your ride. Drive through the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul Valley, follow the Chandra river to Keylong (Lahaul-Spiti district headquarters), then Darcha, Patsio, Zingzing Bar, and over Baralacha La (4,892m) — one of the most challenging passes on the Leh highway with sweeping panoramic views. Reach Sarchu by evening. Dinner and camping under a blanket of stars.

Breakfast, then the long ride to Leh. Tackle the Gata Loops — 21 iconic hairpin bends at 4,669m. Cross Nakee La (4,739m), Lachung La (5,065m), then lunch at Pang. Drive the 30-km flat Moore Plains, then over Tanglang La — the 3rd highest motorable pass in the world. Reach Leh by late evening. Dinner and rest.

Rest morning, then a light day in Sham Valley. Visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the Indus-Zanskar confluence. Return to Leh for dinner.

Ride over the world's highest motorable pass — Khardung La (5,359m). Visit Diskit Monastery's 32m Maitreya Buddha, then Hundar sand dunes for a double-humped camel ride. Dinner at camps.

Breakfast, then the dramatic Shyok river gorge drive to Pangong Tso. Arrive by afternoon at the 134-km lake that shifts colour four to five times a day. Sunset, stargazing, overnight at lakeside camps.

Dawn over Pangong — unforgettable. Breakfast, then ride back to Leh over Chang La (5,360m — the 2nd highest motorable road). Reach Leh by evening for shopping and farewell dinner.

Breakfast, then ride out of Leh back over the Manali-Leh highway to Jispa — a gentle green valley settlement along the Bhaga river. Check in at hotel/camp, rest. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast, then return ride to Manali via Atal Tunnel. Fresh up, then board the evening Volvo bus back to Delhi. Overnight journey.

Arrival at Delhi. Teary goodbyes with your new trip family and plans for the next reunion. End of an unforgettable Himalayan circuit.
