Summers (Mar–Jun) see 15–25 °C in hill stations — ideal for trekking. Monsoon (Jul–Sep) brings landslides on some routes. Winters (Oct–Feb) offer snowfall in Shimla, Manali, and Spiti.
Spiti Valley roads are open only from June to October — plan accordingly.
