Day 1 of 6
Pickup at Bagdogra / NJP and drive up to Lamahatta (~4 hrs) — a quiet ridge-top village surrounded by pines. Evening walk at the eco-park.
Short drive to Tinchuley — a tiny orange-orchard village on the Indo-Bhutan border ridge. Walk through the orchards, visit the Gumba monastery, sunset over the Teesta valley.
Drive to Chatakpur — a tiny eco-village inside Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, 10 km from Darjeeling. Forest walk in the afternoon and Kanchenjunga viewpoint at dusk.
Short drive to Darjeeling. Afternoon tea-garden walk with a planter at Happy Valley Tea Estate, then evening at the Mall and Glenary's bakery.
Pre-dawn drive to Tiger Hill for sunrise over Kanchenjunga (and distant Everest on clear days). Return for breakfast, then the famous Darjeeling toy train joy ride. Afternoon at Padmaja Naidu Zoo and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.
Morning drive down to Bagdogra airport / NJP for departure.
