Day 1 of 5
Long drive south through the Konkan ghats to Ganpatipule. Evening at Ganpatipule beach and the swayambhu Ganesh temple — a self-manifested idol facing the sea.
Drive further south along the coast to Tarkarli — Maharashtra's clearest-water beach. Afternoon swimming, dolphin-spotting boat ride, and a sunset walk along the white sands.
Morning scuba / snorkel session in Tarkarli's clear waters. Afternoon boat to the spectacular Sindhudurg sea fort, built by Shivaji on a rocky island just off the coast.
Morning at Devbagh sangam — where the Karli river meets the Arabian Sea. Afternoon drive north to Vijaydurg, another Shivaji-era sea fort, before returning to Tarkarli for the night.
Long drive back along the Konkan coast and over the Sahyadris to Pune. Drop at Pune airport / railway station.
