Overview

The Delhi-Agra-Jaipur circuit is the perfect introduction to India's rich heritage. From the Mughal grandeur of the Taj Mahal to the Rajput splendour of Amber Fort and the cosmopolitan energy of Delhi, this triangle packs centuries of history into one unforgettable journey.

The Golden Triangle is India's most popular tourist route, and for good reason — it distils the subcontinent's staggering diversity into three extraordinary cities connected by well-maintained highways. Delhi opens the journey with a dual personality: Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk is a sensory onslaught of spices, rickshaws, and Mughal-era monuments like the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, while New Delhi's tree-lined avenues showcase Lutyens' colonial architecture, India Gate, and the modern bustle of Connaught Place. Agra, two hundred kilometres southeast, is home to the Taj Mahal — a monument whose perfection in white marble defies photography and must be witnessed in person. The nearby Agra Fort and the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri add depth to the Mughal narrative. From Agra, the road swings southwest to Jaipur, the Pink City, where the Amber Fort perches on a hill like a crown, the Hawa Mahal's honeycomb facade conceals royal secrets, and the Jantar Mantar observatory reminds you that Indian science was centuries ahead of its time. The beauty of the Golden Triangle lies in its compactness — the entire circuit can be comfortably covered in five to seven days, making it ideal for first-time visitors to India or travellers with limited time. TravelSense enhances the classic itinerary with curated local experiences, boutique hotel stays, and expert guides who turn monuments into living stories.
