Good to know
Indian passport holders need a visa for Fiji - a tourist visa is typically granted on arrival for eligible travellers, but confirm current requirements before booking and carry return tickets and hotel bookings.
Fiji is a long-haul trip from India (usually via a hub such as Singapore, Hong Kong or Auckland) - allow for connection time and jet lag.
Island resorts are reached by catamaran or seaplane from Nadi/Denarau - transfer times and last-boat schedules matter when planning arrival flights.
Currency is the Fijian Dollar (FJD); cards work at resorts, but carry cash for villages and smaller islands.
Dress modestly when visiting a village, and only drink kava when offered as part of the welcome ceremony.
